Swaidan Trading (a part of the Al Naboodah Group), the sole distributor of Peugeot in Dubai and the Northern Emirates has been awarded a five-star quality rating by ESMA (Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology).
The accreditation by ESMA covers all Peugeot workshops across Dubai & the Northern Emirates in compliance with Government regulations and norms on workshop processes, work-safety standards, and overall presentation.
Peugeot is amongst the first automotive dealerships in the UAE to receive a five-star rated certificate of conformity, with ESMA expected to grade thousands of workshops in the UAE including dealer and non-dealer workshops.
Shiva Kumar Vadarevu, National Service Manager at Swaidan Trading said, “On behalf of Swaidan Trading, it is an honour to be amongst the first to receive five-star accreditation from ESMA. To achieve this rating, thorough evaluations were conducted by ESMA on quality of management, customer and employee engagement, spare parts, employee knowledge, and more. Our decision to work towards ESMA accreditation demonstrates our commitment to providing high-quality services to our clients.”
ESMA is recognized by ISO (The International Organization for Standardization), which is responsible for standard-setting across the world. With this five-star rating, customers can rest assured that their Peugeot vehicles are in safe hands during every service, repair, or check-up.
“This five-star rating from ESMA is a testament to the long-standing partnership between Swaidan Trading and Peugeot. Through this successful relationship, we have maintained our service quality, adhered to government regulations and norms, used genuine Peugeot spare parts, and ensured the satisfaction of our customers. We will continuously look for methods to enhance the customer experience, while also standing by the quality of our workforce, processes, and services,” said Greg Cottrell, General Manager, Automotive Division, Swaidan Trading
Four workshops were inspected by ESMA officials. One each in Sharjah and Fujairah, and two branches in Dubai, in Al Quoz and Rashidya.
ESMA, has formulated a new system that will categorise and rate workshops according to their service standards and expertise. The regulations to govern the sector across the country will set a minimum requirement in terms of the skills of mechanics and service standards for a workshop to operate. The workshops will be categorised according to the type of service they offer, such as AC repair, tyre service, bodywork or engine work.
