It’s the part of a car that owners and drivers see most often – yet many petrolheads and automotive aficionados still afford it little attention when it comes to upgrades. We’re talking, of course, about the car’s interior. If you’re looking to secure an utterly unique, premium-quality interior, the specialists at PS-Sattlerei, based in Bergkamen in Germany’s Ruhr region, are the perfect people for the job. Fresh from their workshop, this Porsche Panamera Turbo S is a first-class example of their stunning work.
One of the absolute highlights in the cockpit of this Zuffenhausen-born sports sedan – which boasts a turbocharged V8 and 550 hp as standard – is the “PS-Sattlerei Evo” steering wheel. The upper and lower sections of the wheel are made from carbon fiber, which features a sublime rhombic structure and in this style is for instance known for its use by iconic Italian super sports car specialist Pagani. The clasps on the wheel’s spokes are also laminated in carbon fiber, while the grips on either side are upholstered in non-slip perforated black Porsche Nappa leather. Other features include the 12 o’ clock stripe and the flatter section toward the bottom of the wheel, plus the strong profile and pronounced contours typical of Evo series steering wheels. Despite these upgrades, the wheel still holds a TÜV approval as it retains the metal core of the original steering wheel.
In upgrading the seats and door panels, PS-Sattlerei drew on black Porsche Nappa leather as well as a striking neon green leather sourced from Lamborghini, applying this vibrant fabric across large areas – such as almost the entire rears of the front seats. While some areas of the black leather feature topstitching in a matching shade of green, the seats and backrests have been adorned with diamond quilting. The interior upgrades also include classy black Alcantara leather, specifically on the side panels of the seats and on the dashboard, with both upper and lower sections upholstered in a combination of fine microfiber fabric and neon-green leather from Lamborghini.
Another highlight is the starlit sky composed of countless tiny LEDs on the underside of the roof, with lighting effects that even make it possible to catch a glimpse of a shooting star now and again. Rounding off the upgrades, the interior moldings have been fitted with varnished trim strips, while the foot mats made from quilted black leather and featuring neon green trim strips and edging pair perfectly with the rest of the interior. What’s more, a specially created duffel bag matching the interior design and featuring a sporty inner lining means passengers can carry their hand luggage in style.
In addition to the cockpit upgrades done by the PS-Sattlerei, the Panamera’s owner also ordered further modifications to the Porsche’s exterior. The Porsche received a complete overhaul to match the look of the Facelift model, including the skirts, spotlights, rear lights and so on, before applying a matt full-body wrap in dark gray complete with highlights of neon-green trim, drawing on the accent color in the car’s interior.
