As French automotive manufacturer, PEUGEOT, continues its comeback in the Middle East, the brand has announced an 89% year-on-year sales increase of its popular Partner model for the first three quarters of 2020 in the GCC.
The award-winning Partner LCV model accounted for a significant proportion of new vehicles sales in the GCC, offering the perfect balance between convenience and drivability – all hallmarks of the brand.
The brand’s biggest regional market, the UAE, saw Partner sales increase by 42% from the same period last year. Kuwait saw the Partner maintain its position as a leader in the LCV segment at 39%, while Oman saw an increase in Partner sales by 39% from the same period last year.
Rakesh Nair, Managing Director at Groupe PSA in the GCC, said: “The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on people across the region. Despite these challenging market conditions, PEUGEOT is delighted to have seen such an increase in the LCV segment thanks to the Partner model. Now, with these significant sales results, we are excited for what the future holds and have every confidence that our brand can continue to grow from strength to strength.”
The PEUGEOT Partner, which includes PEUGEOT’s cutting-edge i-Cockpit® system fitted as standard, offers unprecedented levels of refinement and versatility in the small van B segment, as well as a brand-new driving experience for commercial vehicle users.
Its dynamic design makes the Partner a practical, comfortable and elegant van – stimulating a stress-free mobile office. Its dimensions are perfectly in line with the market segment and the payload area is more practical and versatile than ever. No matter the profession, commercial vehicle drivers will find the right configuration to suit any work, and with an entrepreneurial spirit at its heart, the Partner makes it possible to go beyond what might have previously seemed impossible.
As the demand for online shopping increased due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the PEUGEOT Partner proved popular among customers in the region looking for a van that offers unprecedented levels of refinement, versatility and practicality.
