Reports say that TomTom (TOM2) has recently purchased Finder S.A., the key fleet management service provider in Poland, effective as of the end of December last year.
The acquisition reinforces the position of TomTom Telematics as the top and quickest-growing fleet management and telematics service provider in the European region.
Thomas Schmidt, Managing Director TomTom Telematics, considers Poland as one of the fastest-growing telematics markets in Europe. According to him, merging the strength of existing TomTom Telematics activities with Finder S.A. enables them to directly address a huge and budding telematics market with high potential while establishing a key position in Eastern Europe.
With this new acquisition, over 60,000 subscriptions have been added to the TomTom Telematics installed base, thus surpassing the company’s 600,000 vehicles landmark.
