Advanced automotive fluid systems technology supplier TI Automotive is now gearing up to open its new production facility in Monterrey, Mexico. The new 53,000 square-foot facility will manufacture fluid carrying systems for the new Hyundai/Kia production facility located nearby.
TI Automotive is anticipated to employ around 100 people at full production anticipated next month.
The facility is a key extra site for TI Automotive’s global Fluid Carrying Systems (FCS) pision and will manufacture brake line assemblies, brake and fuel bundles and clutch lines with flared tubes. It will also be equipped to manufacture engine line products including oil, water and vacuum tubes, exhaust gas reduction (EGR) pipes and transmission lines.
In a statement, TI Automotive chairman, CEO and president Bill Kozyra commented that Mexico is a growing automotive market for their customer and the new facility supports their global growth strategy of going where their customers need them. He said they have enjoyed a great collaboration with Hyundai/Kia worldwide for several years and they look forward to mutual continued success in Monterey.
To date, TI Automotive has nine production facilities in Mexico which are located in San Luis Potosi, Reynosa, Puebla, and Mexico City.
