Tesla CEO Elon Musk confidently claims that their Autopilot semi-autonomous driving feature reduces the likelihood of an accident by 50 percent even with their first version. The feature is anticipated to improve as the company advances the technology.
Tesla rolled out the Autopilot on the Model S and then added it to the Model 3 and Model X. The automaker promotes Autopilot as a driver assistance feature in its current form. It was modified in January and added with some restrictions, but also put in the cutting-edge summoning technology, which enables users to use their key fob to control their car for short distances. This has paved the way for the Model S P90D to be called the Technology Car of the Year.
