Schaeffler’s Automotive Aftermarket division has reorganized its portfolio for chassis repair. From 1 June 2019, Schaeffler will be expanding its range of products under the FAG brand to add steering and suspension parts, drive shafts and strut mountings. In addition to the existing wheel bearing program, the company will now offer a market-leading range of products for professional chassis repair under its FAG brand.
The division’s move to extend its portfolio to include all components and accessories needed for chassis repair is the outcome of Schaeffler’s wide-ranging quality strategy. This same strategy is seen in Schaeffler’s range of products for the spare parts market in terms of material selection, development and assembly, as well as customized repair solutions.
Commenting on the move, Dr. Robert Felger, President Product Management and R&D from Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket said that through the use of durable and performance-enhancing coating and sealing technologies, Schaeffler offered consistently high quality throughout its entire portfolio, with each individual component, including even the smallest accessory part being developed and tested according to the company’s high quality standards.
Under its FAG brand, Schaeffler has over 130 years of experience in developing and producing components and advanced chassis modules for original-equipment manufacturers. Schaeffler has demonstrated a similar commitment in the case of future-oriented chassis technologies for vehicles like electric vehicles, with innovative products like the electric roll stabilizer and the Intelligent Corner Module.
The Schaeffler quality concept also extends to making it possible for garages to provide motorists with repair that is efficient and dependable. In order to cater to the requirements of garages, Schaeffler’s Automotive Aftermarket division has added numerous accessory parts to its range with a special focus on all common chassis applications on the European car parc. The FAG range of repair solutions includes all components and accessories, like nuts and bolts needed for repairs and all of them have the same high quality as the replacement parts. Hence, garage customers can be sure that they are receiving consistently high quality when it comes to repairs of the chassis which plays a key role when it comes to safety.
