Japanese firms in different industries, especially in the automotive sector, are renowned worldwide for their high process and quality requirements. Just recently, Schaeffler has reached a huge milestone after bagging the prestigious “Project Contribution Award” from AISIN AW.
The German company supplies double turbine dampers with centrifugal pendulum-type absorber for the new AISIN AW 8-speed transmission. It has bagged the award for the exceptional collaboration and support during the volume production startup of the transmission in Japan.
Speaking at the award ceremony at Schaeffler’s location in Bühl, Dr. Peter Bührle, President of Schaeffler’s Transmission Technologies business unit, who accepted the prize from Shigeo Tsuzuki, Deputy Chief Officer Purchasing pision AISIN AW CO., LTD., said that their team is incredibly proud of the award and they have made a significant contribution to successfully implementing upcoming projects at AISIN. He added that they regard it as a gesture of huge appreciation and as testament of their outstanding technological and production expertise.
