Porsche has taken customization to new heights by developing a custom shade of paint that costs more than a base 911 Carrera. The German brand has an in-house customizing shop that can meet the requirements of even the most demanding clients. The new paint option from Posche Exclusive for the 991.2-generation Porsche 911 Turbo S is an ultra-limited paint option called Python Green Chromaflair that costs USD 97,000. This is more than the USD 91, 000 that a base 911 Carrera would cost.
The Porsche 911 Turbo S in itself is a highly impressive vehicle but the new shade of green paint, with its stunning, almost pearlescent appearance makes it even more distinctive. The details of the new shade were first shared through a post on the @ptsrs Instagram account, which deals with Porsche’s “paint-to-sample” custom color options for its cars.
When many people expressed disbelief about a paint option that could cost more than a car, the account then posted a picture of the build sheet which highlighted the cost of the color and said it was Euro 82,645.50, or about USD 97,344.
This particular 911 Turbo S had many additional customization features like custom colors on the interior trim and a Burmester surround sound system, taking the total cost of customization to about USD 133,600. The special Chromaflair paint is also available in other shades like gold, violet and blue but only five examples are available on an annual basis to retain the exclusivity of the paint option.
