Started in late-April, this year’s FIA European Truck Racing Championship is finally on – with premium quality MEYLE truck engine mounts in the line-up. Fitted on the “tankpool24” race truck, these parts are now launching in truck racing.
According to Norbert Kiss, reigning European Champion for the second year running and one of the team’s drivers, the operating conditions in motor racing are exceptionally challenging, requiring extremely durable parts. He claims above-average engine speeds and extreme heat put the part materials under significant stress.
In a statement, André Kursim, the team’s second driver, says that in previous racing seasons, MEYLE brand pads and discs have already proven their extraordinary strength, and now MEYLE engine mounts have impressed them with their equally high quality.
Sven Nielsen, Head of Strategic Product Development at MEYLE, comments that as partners in technology, their in-house engineers maintain an on-going dialogue with the team’s technicians, enabling them to put the MEYLE engine mounts to the test under racing conditions. He adds that the findings are fed straight back to the development process of MEYLE truck engine mounts, hence enabling MEYLE’s engineers to examine material quality and part performance when put to the extreme and use the results to make continual enhancements.
Nielsen continues that their customers naturally benefit from the technical expertise developed under race conditions. “After all, we supply the team with exactly the same engine mounts we ship to our customers from our warehouse – there is absolutely no difference.”
