Mercedes-Benz has launched its ‘Mercedes me connect’ technology in the Middle East, thus gving its customers here the chance to become part of an intelligently connected world. Using the innovativetechnology, customers can now connect with their vehicle anytime and anywhere and control certain functionalities, via the Mercedes me portal (https://me.mercedes-benz.com) and the Mercedes me App. Thus, they will be able to keep in touch with their car, wherever they are in the world.
The features available as part of the service include Remote Engine Start that makes it possible to start or stop their vehicle from anywhere and pre-condition it to their last setting. Thus, every ride begins on a comfortable note while it can end with Remote Parking Assist to make it possible to park the car from outside the car. The Standard Services feature makes several vehicle related tasks like Maintenance Management, Breakdown Management and Accident Recovery easier.
The latest ‘In-Car Office’ function, makes it possible for Mercedes-Benz drivers to use office functions directly in the vehicle and to get access to important data even while they are on the move. The ‘In-Car Office’ uses the locations of calendar entries and automatically copies them to the car’s navigation system so that motorists can navigate seamlessly to the locations they need to go to. Divers can also dial into a telephone conference on the basis of a calendar entry – the system automatically detects the required PIN access code and simultaneously dials it.
In combination with the pioneering in-car experience: MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience), Mercedes me connect also offers drivers navigation functions like information on road conditions, traffic incidents or approaching emergency vehicles. Users will get to know immediately if anyone has bumped into the parked vehicle or if it has been towed away.
The MBUX uses prediction features to anticipate what the user would like next – from radio stations the user normally listens to frequently driven routes to regular phone calls that are generally made at a specific time. Mercedes me connect will quickly pick up a customer’s routine and thus suggest specific activities on display on the given day.
“We are very excited to bring to the region the sophisticated Mercedes me connect,” said Lennart Mueller-Teut, Head of Marketing & Communications at Mercedes-Benz Cars Middle East “We use state-of-the-art technology such as MBUX’s artificial intelligence capabilities to learn about a user’s preferences when driving, gradually turning the car into a personal assistant for the driver – an attribute we know will be a huge success here. Mercedes me connect is designed with our customers’ needs in mind in today’s digital age, and makes life just that little bit easier for them.”
Mercedes me connect is available to all those who buy new Mercedes-Benz cars (those having a post December 2017 production date).
