MANN + HUMMEL Presents Innovative Wavelock filter system for oil and fuels

MANN+HUMMEL used the recent ComVac trade fair to launch an innovative filter system for oils and fuels. Named Wavelock, the filter system and its spin-on filter for the filtration of oil and fuels offers has been thoughtfully designed with features like defined untightening and tightening torque. This makes servicing and mounting very easy and safe.  MANN+HUMMEL is associated with several leading automotive manufacturers and is trying to get automotive manufacturers to choose Wavelock as original equipment for compressors and combustion engines.

Wavelock filter system comprises a filter head and spin-on element. The new design of the interface between the head and spin-on filter enables clearly defined mounting and disassembly forces. Hence, it is now possible to change the filter easily without using any tools. It is also possible to ensure a greater level of cleanliness and reduce the scope of contamination when it comes to the fluid circulation system. The company’s proprietary new filter system is thus ideal for minimizing servicing errors and the use of low quality filters.

Wavelock’s modular design and the different possibilities it offers to be used in tandem with MANN+HUMMEL filter media permits a wide range of uses. It can be used as a main fuel filter, fuel prefilter or oil filter for different specifications and volume flow rates. Fuel filter sizes are available up to approx. 400 l/h and oil filter sizes are available up to approx. 55 l/min.
