Just recently, Lukoil has opened a bulk lubricant storage and transfer terminal in Vienna. Present during the opening ceremony were Chairman of PJSC LUKOIL Board of Directors Valery Grayfer, President of Vienna Chamber of Commerce and Industry Walter Ruck and President of Vienna Provincial Parliament Harry Kopietz.
The construction of the terminal on the bank of the Danube, which consists of a tank farm and a mooring complex, has become the second phase of the upgrade of the Austrian lube blending plant of LUKOIL Lubricants Europe which LUKOIL purchased in 2014.
Apart from acquiring the highest category of certification, VDA 6.3, from the German Association of the Automotive Industry, Lukoil’s facility is also one of the lubricant suppliers to the automotive assembly facilities of German automakers. The new terminal in Vienna will make it possible to enhance the logistics of base oil supplies from Russia and improve the competitiveness of Lukoil’s end products in Europe.
