With the recent expansion of the application range of composite materials, the special chemical fiber market such as carbon fiber and glass fiber is unveiling strong growth trend. In accordance with the market research company in Dallas, USA, it is anticipated that the glass fiber and special fiber industry will climb 6.47 percent yearly from 2015 to 2020. When subjected to tests, these composite materials exhibited outstanding stability and durability through light weight.
Meanwhile, Hyun-Dai Fiber, which was established in 1981, has gained attention by achieving mutual growth with customers and collaborating companies based on long-time gained experiences and technology in the composite materials sector. The company produces a variety of fiber from superfine glass fiber to carbon fiber, and also different advanced composite materials through impregnation or coating of proper resin in accordance with the requests of customers and its respective purposes.
Used as reinforced element of composite materials, glass fiber has a number of advantages such as weather resistance, heat resistance, electric insulation, dimensional stability and high tensile strength. The products are sold with the right resin coating in accordance with the purposes such as different fishing rods, pipes, golf shafts, reinforced materials for wall, protective clothing, insulation, and automotive industry.
Given that carbon fiber has high strength, high resistance and high elasticity, it exhibits outstanding property and functionality as an element for composite materials. Produced as prepreg state by impregnating epoxy resin into carbon fiber textile, it is broadly applied to aerospace area since it is considerably lighter than plastic but stronger than steel. Additionally, it is used for sports and leisure as well as for reinforcing materials for construction.
In a statement, an HD Fiber official said that the company directly manufactures and supplies fabric sheet which can be used for parts or body in automotive, sports or leisure by using carbon fiber or glass fiber. “In case of carbon fiber, we will advance into the market by making splendid and various fiber pattern rather than focusing on lightweight and strength.”
