Just recently, GE Lighting, a global leader in major lighting solutions, has announced that it joined force with Dubai-based AW Rostamani Group of Companies for joint lighting installation in the region.
After signing the agreement with Huda Al Rostamani, the director of AW Rostamani Group of Companies, Maryrose Sylvester, the president and CEO of Current, powered by GE, revealed in a statement that as per the terms of the deal signed with AW Rostamani Lumina, a core part of the UAE group, all light sources by GE lighting are included except automotive lamps and signage solutions.
She noted that the deal highlights GE Lighting’s strategy to expand its footprint by offering complete solutions to customers by working with local partners with proven market competencies.
The groundbreaking lighting solutions rolled out by GE Lighting will be distributed and installed by AW Rostamani Lumina, the leader in high quality luminaires and lighting control equipment for residential, commercial and industrial applications.
According to Erdem Soyal, general manager of GE Lighting for Middle East, Africa and Turkey, the distribution deal with AW Rostamani Lumina brings them closer to their customers and enables them to provide complete solutions, supported by efficient sales and installation.
He added that the agreement would also enable their project clients to benefit from the domain industry experience of AW Rostamani Lumina, thus improving operational efficiency. “Underlining in our focus on investing in local partnerships in the UAE, the agreement will further contribute to achieving the sustainable development goals of the UAE and the region.”
Commenting on GE Lighting, Umar Khan, general manager of AW Rostamani Lumina, said that the company brings a broad range of solutions that complement their operations in the region. He noted that the company’s strength in LED lighting, which has a huge contribution to energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, are a perfect fit to their vision to be the sustainable lighting partner for the region. “We have a strong track-record in supporting several landmark projects in the Middle East, Africa and the Pan Arab market. The partnership agreement with GE Lighting will further strengthen our business in the region.”
The Middle East is placing high importance on ‘green building’ and sustainable projects, thereby creating strong demand for sustainable lighting. GE Lighting mulls to support regional projects by the end of this year with over $6 million worth of lighting solutions.
The company also revealed the extension of advanced training and workshops on its lighting solutions to reinforce the skills of its partner’s team and in line with its commitment to knowledge sharing to fully support localization.
