Exide Industries, the leading player in the car battery segment in India has what it says is the first maintenance free and completely sealed battery for the automotive after-market, Advanz.
According to Exide, Advanz is the only battery in the Indian market that does not need any topping up, and comes with a ‘magic eye’ that gives motorists an accurate idea about the health of the battery and warns them when the battery’s life is nearing its end.
Arnab Saha, president, National Trade Sales and Marketing, Exide said that Advanz has a clear translucent lid and highly advanced technology including use of a Ca-Ca alloy system as the main component to ensure there is no need to top up during the entire service life of the battery, effective flame arrestors with microporous filter disc in vent openings to minimize acid fumes and to restrict spark propagation inside the battery.
The battery also has a low self-discharge rate, so that the vehicle can be started easily even after long idle period and with a better cranking power. It virtually guarantees instant start every time. The battery is factory charged and is market ready from the time it is bought off the shelf.
Advanz can be used for all models available in the Indian market and comes with a 15-month warranty.
