Deutz, the well known drive system specialist won the 2018 Red Dot Design award for its Deutz Connect service app. This app has an intuitive user interface which makes it possible to conduct fast mobile engine diagnostics in the field.
The Red Dot Design award contest had received as many as 8,600 entries from 45 countries. The winners of the award were carefully selected by a panel of 24 expert judges who chose the products which stood out for their excellent design and creativity.
Deutz Connect is the company’s first mobile engine diagnostic app for smartphones or tablets and makes it possible for users to access all relevant engine data in real time through an intuitive user interface. This data can then be transmitted directly to a service partner.

This makes a significant difference to the speed with which service is provided. Fleet operators can also use the intuitive app for optimal management of the engines of their vehicles and for specifying servicing windows.
Deutz had developed the app in partnership with ]init[ AG and the app sports a user interface and functionality which set new benchmarks in the B2B market.
Michael Wellenzohn, member of the DEUTZ AG Board of Management responsible for Sales, Marketing and Service said that the DEUTZ Connect app serves as a powerful tool for helping end users to increase the efficiency of their engines’ servicing and maintenance procedures.
