Aiming to help drivers better protect their cars, DEI has unveiled a new Heat Screen. What sets this apart from others is that it is made of Mylar laminated to a glass fiber matting backed with a pressure sensitive adhesive for easy peel and stick application with high cohesion strength.
Intended to protect against extreme radiant or direct heat, it is especially developed to withstand up to 2000°F radiant or 1200°F direct heat. Applying this heat screen requires simple procedures: the user just has to cut and trim it to cover fairings, gas tanks, floor boards, body panels, and other areas that require thermal protection. What’s more, it can be used as a low profile protection under carpeting to lessen floorboard heat. With a thickness of .060 inches, this reflective material adheres instantly to almost any surface, painted or unpainted, even or uneven.
DEI’s new Heat Screen comes in three different sizes such as 36” x 20” (part #010399), or 10 square feet, 36” x 40” (part #010400).
