Dana, which has a large portfolio of aftermarket parts is ramping up its presence in the EMEA region by expanding its e-commerce platform. The portal, DanaAftermarket.com, is meant to support customers in the European, Middle Eastern and African (EMEA) regions and Dana will be highlighting this platform as well as its range of products and solutions related to powertrain, sealing and thermal management at Automechanika 2018. Automechanika Frankfurt is slated to be held from September 11 to 15 in Frankfurt.
State-of-the-Art e-Commerce Platform
The platform is a sophisticated customer-experience platform that was recently launched in the United States and will become available to EMEA customers later in 2018. It will provide customers with immediate, 24-hour access to a range of over 110,000 Spicer parts meant for commercial, light and off-highway vehicles. Customers can use the platform in order to search for and purchase the right part for their vehicles.
The site has rich content comprising diagrams, videos and a vast literature library. Dana will be using a visual display at Automechanika to demonstrate how the website, DanaAftermarket.com can be used to find products which cater to specific product requirements, with details of pricing, specifications and availability.
Commenting on the e-commerce platform, Mark Wallace, executive vice president of Dana and president of Dana Commercial Driveline Technologies said that the company is focusing on improving the ability of customers to find the right part to meet their very own needs in light of growing demand for the Dana’s quality products and premium brands. He said that the new DanaAftermarket.com portal will brings part searching capability to hundreds of customers in the EMEA region.
Spicer Quality Right Out of the Box
In addition to showcasing Dana’s e-commerce solution, the booth will feature the Ultimate Dana 60 crate axle with Spicer gearing, which is available in a variety of ratios as a prepackaged solution for light vehicle drivetrain builds. Other products on display at the booth include Victor Reinz sealing solutions, including secondary gaskets and cylinder-head gaskets.
When it comes to products for off-highway applications, Dana will highlight a Spicer Model 990 independent front suspension axle, which is meant to deliver maximum power and torque for open-field tractor applications, Spicer off-highway transmission with the capacity to handle applications of 50 to 1,000 horsepower (37 to 746 kW) and a Spicer TE30 powershift transmission which is to be used in heavy-duty vehicles like harbor equipment and large forklifts.
As Dana continues to expand DanaAftermarket.com capabilities for its EMEA and global customers, the company plans to launch part-searching features for its Victor Reinz and Glaser brands by the end of this year.
