The second edition of the international trade fair, “Women’s Car Accessories” Exhibition which was held at Dhahran International Exhibition Center helped to improve safety awareness among novice Saudi women motorists. The exhibition was held with the tagline “Your Way is Safe” under the patronage of Prince Saud Bin Naif Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province.
The exhibition marked the first anniversary of the Saudi government’s historic decision in June 2018 that made it legal for women to drive in Saudi Arabia. The exhibition featured over 100 participants and made a significant contribution towards raising traffic safety awareness among women and improving the efficiency of services and products in the automotive sector.
CEO of Najm, Dr. Mohammed Al-Sulaiman said that he expected the exhibition to help increase awareness regarding safe driving practices within the automotive sector and reducing traffic violations that can have a negative impact on society.
As part of its effort to promote social responsibility, Najm is providing women motorists with many tips and guidelines that would protect women, improve their traffic awareness, and help them reduce violations that negatively affect their lives. They would learn how to use safety tools inside the vehicle and deal with any issues that may arise while driving.
The exhibition had several booths, most notably the one set up by the General Directorate of Traffic which provided visitors with a detailed explanation of the traffic system and the mechanism of dealing with traffic accidents in cooperation with Najm. Visitors thus had a chance to learn more about the procedures for accidents. The staff at the Saudi Red Crescent Authority booth explained to visitors how to aid those injured while waiting for medical help.
as part of the exhibition, there were a number of awareness lectures that were held by automotive experts advising participants on how to buy and drive cars, and the significance of safety.
Najm for Insurance Services was one of the sponsors of the exhibition and the sponsorship was meant to help the company form a link between women and government agencies concerned with implementing the historic decision allowing women to drive in Saudi Arabia.
