Axalta Launches Paint Shop Management Online System in India and Thailand

Axalta Coating Systems, which is one of the leading players in the liquid and powder coatings sector, has launched a paint shop management (PSM) online system for automotive collision repairers in Thailand and India.

The new online system has been integrated with Axalta’s sophisticated color retrieval system. It can be used by automotive paint shops to facilitate quick generation of accurate paint repair quotes, track paint usage and the status of the repairs, thus helping collision repairers to enhance their effectiveness and efficiency in operating their paint shops.

Axalta has debuted this system based on its understanding that an auto paint shop management system is necessary to efficiently operate a repair facility. Axalta’s PSM is already a part of its color tool, hence no further installation is needed.

The new online paint shop management system it is easy to set up, activate, and implement. It is easily accessible on any stand-alone or network computer system. The system even has the capability to be scaled up for multi-site operations. Once the repair shop is registered as part of the system, Axalta’s team will work with the customer to personalize set up and provide the shop’s staff with training, either on-site or remotely.

Axalta is planning to roll out the system in more markets in the Asia Pacific region in the near future so that more paint shops can benefit from using this tool.

The tool has three modules that a paint shop can use. The basic color retrieval module for color formula search also includes the cost of the selected formula. The inventory control module can keep track of orders and delivery and the cost of inventory held. The PSM module is the most advanced module. It has the capability to generate quotes and to track the status of the paint repair, and the amount of paint and material used during the different stages.
