The 13th edition of Automechanika Shanghai, which was held from 29 November to 2 December 2017 proved to be an overwhelming success with recordbreaking figures. It was the most successful version of the event to date with 130, 928 visitors, 6, 051 exhibitors and covered a sprawling area of 340,000 square meters.
The event is positioned as Asia’s largest such fair for automotive parts, accessories and services industries, and covers the entire supply chain with opportunities for business exchange, marketing, networking and education on a global scale.
The success was clearly reflected throughout the show, especially in the case of the brand new REIFEN Zone for tyres, wheels and rims, the much bigger Electronics & Systems sector and the E-Mobility & Infrastructure Zone. The displays in Motorsports & High Performance Zone were particularly impressive, and there was a greater level of participation through international pavilions during the fair.
The fringe events for Automechanika Shanghai in 2017 came to a toal of 57 and received considerable positive feedback. A few of the events that received favorable response included the Connected Mobility Conference, the AIAG Auto Parts Purchasing Leadership and Suppliers Summit and the 3rd Summit: Merger and Acquisition Strategies for Chinese Automotive Corporations in the Overseas Markets. All these events were valued highly by the participants as important avenues for helping them expand their presence across Asia’s entire automotive industry. The next edition of Automechanika Shanghai is scheduled to be held from 28 November – 1 December, 2018.
