Akebono Brake Corporation has added 12 new part numbers. This will expand the vehicle coverage of its Pro-ACT, Performance and EURO Ultra-Premium lines of ceramic brake pads over 6.5 million additional vehicles in the U.S. and Canada.
Due to the addition of the new part numbers, the coverage will now extend to 40 more models like the Dodge Dart, Ford F-250, Chrysler 200, Ford F-350 Super Duty, Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and several BMW, Lexus and Audi models. Customers can find a detailed listing of Akebono aftermarket brake applications in the online catalog that is available on the company’s website, akebonobrakes.com or at showmetheparts.com/akebono.
“Our recent investment in production equipment is helping us meet increasing demand for Akebono Ultra-Premium brake products,” said Ken Selinger, director of aftermarket sales and marketing. Sellinger added that the company is adding a brake rewards program for technicians so that more consumers and shops will benefit from superior braking and take advantage of the best braking technology that is available in the market.
Akebono will run its brake rewards promotion upto July 31, and will offer technicians unlimited rewards when they install Akebono Pro-ACT, EURO and Performance Ultra-Premium ceramic brake pads.
