ACDelco has added to its range of coated rotors and calipers. These rotors and calipers are meant to protect brake systems from environmental hazards like snow and rain and the corrosive liquid sprays that are generally used to maintain gravel roads. As a result of the expansion, the AC Delco brake catalog will now have an additional 54 calipers and over 200 rotor part numbers.
AC Delco says that when compared to parts made by other companies, its proprietary Cool Shield technology protects ACDelco Advantage rotors on the edges and the vanes remain cleaner for a longer time to ensure optimal cooling. The Cool Shield technology gives the entire rotor, including its interior parts with corrosion protection. Another advantage of the baked-on coating is the durability it gives to rotors for long-lasting rust protection vis-a-vis uncoated rotors.
Speaking about the company’s products, Robert Sanford, general director, ACDelco said that when customers opt for ACDelco products, they are investing in premium products for their vehicle. With the new technology, the appearance of their brakes will be as good as their performance.
AC Delco’s Professional brand calipers have the additional advantage of confirming to quality tests performed with a rigorous salt spray procedure that is recommended by the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) to double check that they can they resist corrosion and rust.
The addition of these new products expands ACDelco’s all-makes selection, which delivers quality parts with superior performance for more than 90% of vehicles on the road today.
ACDelco is the exclusive OE parts supplier for well known brands like GMC, Chevrolet and Buick. It also makes premium aftermarket parts for most other makes and models.
