The outstanding features of the first NOVITEC upgrade for the hybrid powertrain of the SF90 Stradale are a thrilling sound and an additional boost in performance. To this end, the powerplant engineers of the German refinement specialist developed an elaborately calibrated high-performance exhaust system with 100-cell metal catalysts and two stainless tailpipes with a diameter of 112 millimeters and carbon embellishers that further upgrade the rear end visually as well.
The NOVITEC system optimizes the exhaust flow, which lets the four-liter, eight-cylinder with two turbochargers breathe more freely. In addition, the fully thermally insulated system reduces the temperatures in the engine bay, which likewise contributes to the optimized performance. An optionally available 999 fine-gold plating can further improve heat dissipation.
NOVITEC offers various versions of the exhaust system with and without electronic sound management by means of actively controlled exhaust flaps. This also includes a version made from INCONEL, the same especially lightweight material used to make the exhaust systems of the Formula 1 racers.
However, even more impressive is the optimized performance. With the NOVITEC system, the turbocharged V8 produces even more superior 598 kW / 813 hp at 7,750 rpm instead of stock 574 kW / 780 hp. Peak torque of the internal combustion engine increases from 800 to 858 Nm at 6,100 rpm. This of course also impacts the system output of the SF90 Stradale, which grows to 760 kW / 1,033 hp. As a result, the mid-engine sports car gains further in dynamics and slings itself from rest to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. Top speed increases to over 340 km/h.
Another focal point of the first NOVITEC steps to make this Ferrari even more dynamic and thrilling lies in the wheels and the suspension. For the technical design and production of tailor-made wheels for this super sports car, the German refinement specialist once again cooperated with Vossen, the leading US manufacturer of hi-tech forged wheels.
Thanks to state-of-the-art machining technology, wheels in NOVITEC NF 10 styling could be designed that make perfect use of the available space under the wheel arches of the SF90 Stradale. To contrast with the black exterior paintwork, these rims were painted a “Bronzino” hue, one of 72 colors in all that NOVITEC customers can choose from for their set of wheels.
With their five filigree twin spokes, the NF 10 alloys are among the lightest of their kind in these king-sized dimensions. The attached photos show the two-seater sporting a combination of 9.5Jx20 wheels at the front with size 255/35 ZR 20 tires and wheels of size 12Jx21 with 325/35 R 21 tires on the rear axle. The staggered diameters on the two axles place even stronger emphasis on the wedge shape of the Ferrari.
In line with this, the NOVITEC sport springs lower the ride height of the vehicle by 30 millimeters at the front and by 25 millimeters at the rear axle. A measure that has a positive effect on not only the looks, but also on the handling thanks to the lower center of gravity.
The range of colors for an exclusive NOVITEC interior is just as varied as the selection of colors for the NOVITEC wheels. The interiors can be created from leather and Alcantara in virtually any desired color.
