NOVITEC N-LARGO

As has been successful tradition for all NOVITEC N-LARGO projects for years, the widebody version was developed in cooperation with Vittorio Strosek. The German designer has created numerous bodywork conversions for the world’s most exclusive sports cars over the last four decades and consequently has amassed tremendous expertise in this field.

As was already the case with the 812 Superfast, the N-LARGO bodywork for the GTS captivates with its powerful appearance. All parts are made from lightweight, yet high-strength carbon. NOVITEC attached great importance not only to a spectacular styling, but also to an outstanding surface quality and a perfect fit.

Perfectly shaped, sweeping fender flares joined seamlessly to the production body add 14 centimeters in all to the width of the spider. Newly sculpted fenders replace the production parts entirely and make the vehicle seven centimeters wider at the front axle.

The NOVITEC N-LARGO rocker panels provide a stylish and aerodynamically optimal transition between the front and rear flares and ensure a pronounced hourglass shape. As this vehicle shows, they also come in a naked-carbon version. Like current single-seater Formula 1 racecars, this widebody version features vertical barge boards aft of the front and ahead of the rear wheel arches, which route the airflow to the rear.

The NOVITEC N-LARGO fascias at the front and rear precisely adapt to the shape of the wider fenders. The front fascia gives the powerful twelve-cylinder car a particularly distinctive face. What is more: It was optimized in the wind tunnel in a way to reduce front-axle lift in concert with the naked-carbon front spoiler.

NOVITEC homogenously integrated a spoiler into the N-LARGO widebody version at the back in order to generate more rear downforce as well. It spans the two rear flares and the hood like a pronounced rump. The new rear fascia connects perfectly to the wider fenders on both sides and features an integral diffuser. In addition, NOVITEC offers carbon trim for the rear fascia as a perfect surround for the four 110-mm tailpipes of the NOVITEC sports exhaust system.

Tailor-made naked-carbon elements on the hood, side mirrors and surrounds of the taillights add further decidedly sporty touches.

The spectacular looks of this super sports car obviously also include extremely wide rims and tires. Vossen, the American manufacturer of high-end alloy wheels, produces tailor-made wheels for the N-LARGO from NOVITEC. They make optimal use of the available space in the larger wheel wells. The company uses state-of-the-art forging and machining technology to produce the NOVITEC NF 10 NL design that sports five delicate twin spokes and a stylized center lock. The size 12.5Jx22 rims on the rear axle were designed to feature an extremely concave wheel spider. The perfect tires come in size 335/25 ZR 22. To add even more emphasis to the wedge shape of the sports car, the front axle runs on rims of size 10Jx21 with tires of size 275/30 ZR 21.

The ride-height lowering by about 35 millimeters, which NOVITEC realizes with special sport springs, plays another big part in the thrilling looks. Optionally, the refinement specialist also offers a front-lift system that makes it easier to navigate ramps in parking garages or speed bumps in cities. This hydraulic height adjustment system raises the front axle by about 40 millimeters at the touch of a button in the cockpit. Once past the obstacle, a second touch of the button lowers the car back down to the normal level. This also takes place automatically upon reaching a speed of 80 km/h.

NOVITEC offers more than just fascinating looks with the new N-LARGO based on the Ferrari 812 GTS. The normally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine offers still more potential, which the engine specialists of the tuner utilize. To this end, the company developed a high-performance exhaust system that coaxes another 40 horsepower from the engine. The NOVITEC exhaust system comes in various versions. All variants are flow-optimized and feature full thermal insulation, whose effect can be further enhanced with optionally available 999 fine gold plating.

Obviously, the NOVITEC high-performance exhaust systems, available with or without sound management by means of actively controlled exhaust flaps, offer not only optimized power delivery, but also a particularly thrilling exhaust note. They can be combined with 110-millimeter tailpipes that offer a choice of polished stainless finish or matt black coating. N-LARGO owners looking to improve the power-to-weight ratio as well can opt for the system made from especially light INCONEL. This hi-tech material is also used in Formula 1 for producing exhaust systems.

The NOVITEC high-performance exhaust system in combination with the 100-cell sports catalysts increases the output to 618 kW / 840 hp at 8,750 rpm. At the same time, peak torque grows to 751 Nm at 7,300 rpm. As a result, the powerful drop-top sports car slings itself from rest to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. Top speed increases to 345 km/h.

Of course, NOVITEC also offers exclusive tailor-made interior appointments for the drop-top N-LARGO. The company can redesign the cockpit using the finest leather and Alcantara in any desired color, finished at the highest level of workmanship.
