In front of thousands of spectators, the alloy wheel specialists from Barracuda Racing Wheels recently unveiled their new wheels for the summer season 2021 as part of a large live streaming event. The highlight of the world premieres was undoubtedly the new Barracuda Dragoon from the Ultralight Series of the leading wheel brand in terms of style and technology. The brand new Barracuda Dragoon is characterized by seven Y double spokes, but interprets this traditional wheel design with its asymmetrical rotational dynamics in a completely new way. The pronounced three-dimensional contouring of the spoke pairs that extend into the wheel bed and their fine openings even give the Dragoon the visual character of a milled forged wheel. The Barracuda Dragoon rolls into the showrooms in three high-gloss finishes: dark high- gloss black, brightly shining high-gloss silver and both elegant and sporty high-gloss bronze. The size portfolio ranges from 8.5×19 and 9.0×19 up to 8.5×20 and 10.0×20 inches to the market launch planned for next April, with the narrower variants being designed as a “Concave” version, the wider rims as “Deep Concave“ variants. In view of this range, connoisseurs will already notice the possibility, which is currently rarely found in the wheel market, of equipping vehicles in the sporty compact class with staggered fitment size combinations. Thanks to the modern flow forming manufacturing process, the Barracuda Dragoon underlines its family membership in the Ultralight Series with a weight of only 10.8 kg in the 19-inch sizes and 11.8 / 11.9 kg in the 20-inch sizes. The price list of the Barracuda Dragoon starts at 399 euros – pre-orders are accepted immediately. Breathtaking videos from Barracuda are available on the YouTube channel “Barracuda Racing Wheels” or interactively on the Instagram profile “barracuda.wheels”. The light alloy wheels from the extensive Barracuda rim program are available from car dealerships or from well-stocked tire and specialist shops.
