The top model of the MINI F56 series, the John Cooper Works GP, is a real troublemaker and eye catcher. Finally, the hot hatch competes with a 306 hp turbocharged four-cylinder and an extroverted body kit. Nevertheless, the power dwarf still offers potential for further optimization. This example was not only placed on high-quality wheels from Barracuda Racing Wheels, but also received a few other adjustments. The MINI specialists at OCTANEFACTORY in Bochum, in cooperation with JMS Fahrzeugteile, are responsible for converting the JCW GP. As the exclusive EU distributor of the Barracuda rims, the latter supplied the Dragoon wheels from the “Ultralight Series”, which are manufactured using the flow forming process. They have a high-loss bronze finish, measure 8.5×19 inches and are fitted with 225/35 tires. The lowering of the body brought about a perfectly adjusted KW Variant 3 coilover suspension. OCTANEFACTORY decided not to make any further optical adjustments and instead devoted itself to optimizing the engine and brakes: With the help of a Wagner Motorsport intercooler, an HJS 200 cell downpipe and a software revision, the turbo four-cylinder was strengthened to whopping 370 hp. The maximum torque is now 555 Nm (series: 450 Nm). The brake system was upgraded to steel braided lines and optimized cooling.
