Inter Emirates Motors (IEM) a subsidiary of Ali & Sons Holding LLC and the official distributor of MG Motor in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) continued to increase the rankings among the country’s top car distributors as MG records a remarkable 2.1% market share in the UAE.
In less than 10 months of operations, IEM raised MG’s market position from 15th to 7th, thanks to aggressive marketing campaigns, outstanding customer service and attractive tactical offers for customers in the UAE.
IEM commenced operations for MG Motor in April 2021. Since then, the company has hit one milestone after another with the launch of five showrooms and three service centers across the UAE vehicles sold within 9 months of operations, not to mention the remarkable success of two product launches: the MG RX8 Black Edition launched exclusively in the UAE with units being pre-booked and sold out upon delivery, and the all-new 2022 MG GT launched with a custom-made London inspired lap. IEM has also boosted fleet sales in the UAE following high consumer demand for efficient, feature-rich cars for long-term and short-term lease.
MG Motor earlier announced its rise in rankings in the GCC’s top ten car manufacturers as the brand secured 6th position with an unprecedented sales performance in 2021. The year concluded with MG recording a remarkable 3.8% market share in the region. With total sales of 41,615 units regionally, MG’s and IEM’s achievements in the GCC are particularly impressive considering the challenging market conditions caused by the global pandemic.
Tom Lee, Managing Director of MG Motor’s Middle East operations, commented: “MG has recorded extraordinary growth in the region despite the ambitious goals we have set for ourselves and the challenging market conditions caused by the pandemic. The growing awareness, popularity and desire for the MG brand has been really evident as we have maximised accessibility to the brand for customers across our nine markets.
“We have an exciting line-up of products coming in 2022, offering great features and at an even greater value for money. Our focus for this year is to continue our expansion plans in the Middle East and North Africa to ensure all our customers receive the highest levels of products and services we have to offer”.
Hisham Elsahn, General Manager, IEM, said: “IEM are extremely proud to grow the MG brand in the UAE with its ambitious expansion plans despite being relatively new to the market. Strong demand and outstanding customer feedback are fuelling our promising success and defying the challenging market conditions. We look forward in 2022 to continue our solid momentum by servicing our customers across the nation and providing them with a memorable experience whether they are in our showrooms, service centers or behind the wheel of an MG”.
In the face of market adjustments and the industrial transformation, and in keeping with its promise to deliver innovation and practicality in all its cars, MG is set to introduce new compact SUVs with 5G and intelligent connectivity features.
Furthermore, MG will continue to enhance its services as it tends to its customer’s needs, while its 6 years / 200,000 km warranty on all models, combined with exceptional offers available to new and current customers, will ensure peace of mind in difficult times.
