GMC Middle East proudly announced the renewal of Mohammed Al Balooshi’s Brand Ambassadorship, following two impactful years of working together. The partnership kicked-off at the start of the year, with the aim to continue inspiring GMC and Mohammed Al Balooshi’s audiences to unleash their capabilities and pursuing their passion. Al Balooshi is one of the most respected names in world cross-country motorbike rallying, following almost two decades of competing at the pinnacle of this extreme sport. The partnership between Mohammed and GMC is based on mutual affinity. Both parties share a passion for pushing boundaries in their respective fields, and constantly seeking the highest performance levels. Sharon Nishi, Chief Marketing Officer, GM Africa and Middle East, said: “Mohammed Al Balooshi is an idol and inspiration to thousands across the Arab World. His passion for motocross sports and his adventurous and courageous lifestyle, make him a great representation of the GMC brand and this partnership a natural synergy. We look forward to following Mohammed’s accomplishments this year and we are confident that the Sierra AT4 is the perfect road companion to him and his bike.” Mohammed Al Balooshi said: “GMC is a premium brand I have always loved and resonated with, particularly for its strong connection with our region. With a shared passion for challenges, pushing limits, and supporting the Middle East’s love for off-roading, we’ve done great things together in the past. I’m truly honored to once again be the face of the brand in the region and eager to revive my endeavor with GMC, to continue sparking excitement and enthusiasm among adventurous minds.” Mohammed Al Balooshi is an Emirati champion and one of the most renowned names in world cross-country and long-desert motorbike rallies. He was named the Best Athlete in the UAE by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sport Award. He became the first Arab to win a world title in a FIM off-road series by clinching the 2018 FIM Bajas World Cup. Similarly, Mohammed Al Balooshi was the only Arab to reach the finish line at the 2019 Dakar Rally. He also took part of the 2022 Dakar Rally, which took place in Saudi Arabia earlier this year. As part of the ambassadorship, the multiple times Arab Motocross Champion, has been handed over the keys of the 2022 GMC Sierra AT4, to cater for his off-roading needs. The Sierra AT4 is distinguished by its professional-grade features that underpin its capabilities, including the available CarbonPro carbon fiber composite bed, which provides one of the best short-bed cargo bed volume in its segment. The Sierra AT4’s carbon-fiber surface is grippy, textured, and durable, which gives Balooshi peace of mind while transporting his bike from one location to another. It also helps keep cargo such as his bike’s toolbox from sliding around while he is on the move. In parallel, with six unique functions and positions offering enhanced second-tier loading and load-stop solutions, a standing workstation and easy access to items in the box, the GMC Sierra’s industry-first six-function MultiPro tailgate brings the popular athlete more functionality and convenience while loading/unloading his dirt bike in the truck and off it.
