With the Project X, Barracuda Racing Wheels has expanded its “Ultralight” wheel series, which are always particularly light thanks to production using the innovative flow forming process, by a particularly spectacular rim: With its lush dimensions, the Projext X is explicitly for large, heavy vehicles such as luxury sedans or SUVs. Hardly any model corresponds to this scheme better than the Mercedes-Benz GLS. A copy of its X166 series has now been equipped with a Project X wheel set in cooperation with HS Motorsport. On the axles of the huge all-wheel drive, the black brushed finish wheels with 295/30R22 tires are weighing just 16 kilograms in spite of their dimensions of 10×22 inches. Thanks to its extraordinary design including unique X-spokes including brushed surfaces, the Project X gives the GLS a significantly sportier look. This is underlined by the subtle lowering, which HS Motorsport managed by means of an electronic module.
