Volkswagen Middle East has appointed a new Marketing Director, Bruno Gisquet, to strengthen the company’s brand positioning in the region. Gisquet will oversee the market research, product marketing, brand development, marketing communication and volume planning for the leading automotive manufacturer in the Middle East region.
Gisquet is a veteran of the automotive industry and has 20 years of experience covering many key international markets. He has been with the Volkswagen Group for 17 years and covered a wide range of the Group’s volume and premium brand portfolio in China and Europe.
Before joining Volkwagen Middle East, Gisquet helmed brand development at Infiniti’s global HQ in Hong Kong where he was tasked with rolling out a new brand and positioning it globally.
Commenting on his new position, Gisquet said that the Volkswagen brand known for conducting some of the most innovative campaigns ever and the company has a brand portfolio that offers immense scope for creativity. He said that his objective would be to reinforce the brand’s values and bring Volkswagen’s persona to life across the region.
Speaking about Gisquet’s appointment, Andrew Savvas, Brand Director of Volkswagen Middle East said that Gisquet has lead outstanding brand campaigns on an international level, and has demonstrated a result-oriented approach with a creative flair. He felt that Volkswagen Middle East would definitely benefit from Gisquet’s 17 years of international marketing experience with the Group.
Gisquet will be based at the regional headquarters in the United Arab Emirates and will be responsible for all markets in the Middle East including the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Jordan and Lebanon.
