Nissan has announced that it will be produced a limited edition version of its popular compact SUV the Nissan Rogue to mark the release of the Rogue One movie in the highly popular Star Wars series. Named “Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition”, the vehicle will be sold in the Canadian and US markets. The special badging for the model has been designed by Lucasfilm and this badging will be displayed prominently. The limited edition will make its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show which is scheduled to be held in November. The movie, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, will reach the theaters on December 16.
According to Jeremy Tucker, vice president, Marketing Communications and Media,Nissan North America, Inc., the Star Wars film franchise is known for reimagining the boundaries of technology ever since the first film was made almost four decades ago. Nissan is on the same path, testing the limits in technology when it comes to what vehicles can do, whether it is cars, trucks or SUVs. Hence the Star Wars franchise is a perfect fit for Nissan when it comes to choosing a marketing partner.
The Nissan Rogue is one of the most popular vehicles in the Nissan range and has been updated for the 2017 edition with several distinctive new features both when it comes to the exterior and the interior. This includes safety features like Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, and the debut of the first ever Rogue Hybrid model.
