Kia Models Create a Splash at Lifestyle Awards

Kia models, Soul and the all-new Cadenza emerged as major winners at the 2016 Active Lifestyle Awards. The Kia Soul was named as the 2016 “Active Lifestyle Vehicle of the Year”. While not quite an SUV, it is not quite a sedan either and its quirky design made it an award winner for the fifth consecutive year. The Soul received the award on the basis of its impressive cargo volume, refined interiors, funky design and highly innovative technological features. The 2017 all-new Cadenza also proved to be a winner at the awards.

Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning for Kia Motors, told the reporters present at the awards ceremony  that winning the Active Lifestyle Vehicle award for the fifth consecutive year highlights the fact that the Soul is a great fit for city dwellers who are always on the go as it offers users a great combination of style, practicality, extensive technical features and a fun drive.

The Cadenza, meanwhile was recognized for its spacious interiors, upscale design, and advanced convenience features that makes it a winner in the full-sized sedan segment.

The Kia Soul is one of Kia Motors America’s best selling models  and was put into a unique performance category named the “urban passenger vehicle for the awards.

For the 2017 version, the Kia Soul offers a turbocharger option in addition to the other available engine options.

Nina Russin, the founder of the Active Lifestyle Vehicle program, said that the Soul won the urban category for the fifth year because as it is a stylish but affordable vehicle that offered users a spacious cargo area and small footprint that is ideal for cities. She called the Cadenza “proof that a luxurious car doesn’t have to break the bank.”
