Becoming the owner of a supercar from Ford has become really easy, with Ford now making it possible for customers to apply to buy one through registering on FordGT.com. With a limited production run for the all-new Ford GT ultra-high-performance supercar, those who want to own the exclusive supercar officially submit their applications through FordGT.com from today. Once their application has been approved, they will be eligible to receive a personalized purchase experience through the new Ford GT Concierge Service.
Commenting on the application process, Henry Ford III, global marketing manager, Ford Performance said that the purchase process for the Ford GT supercar would be just as unique as the company’s all-new supercar. As the customers for the GT are expected to become strong ambassadors for Ford Motor Company, Ford will endeavour to make the buying process as distinctive as the car.”
The Ford GT is positioned as the most advanced Ford production model ever, with lightweight construction, innovative aerodynamics and EcoBoost® engine technology and showcases the latest technological innovations made by Ford.
Applicants will be given an opportunity to choose their preferred Ford dealership in markets where the GT will be sold. Provided their applications are approved, the purchase process will be finalized with the help of their selected dealer and the new Ford GT Concierge Service.
The concierge will contact the accepted applicants from different countries around the world and provide them with customized service right from the ordering stage through all the years they own the car.
The new Ford GT website also has a special configurator that permits browsers to build a virtual GT based on their preferences and easily share their dream car using social media. Numerous options are available when it comes to color, wheels and interior themes.
When it comes to the production model, eight exterior colors can be combined with one of seven different stripe colors, so every Ford GT customer will have options to make the selected supercar as unique as possible. Production will be limited to 250 units on an annual basis and orders will be taken initially for the first two years of production. The web-based application process is scheduled to close on May 12, 2016 at 11:59 pm EDT.
