Both Giorgio Armani and ultra luxury automaker Bugatti are highly renowned in their respective segments. Bugatti has now announced that it will be joining hands with the leading fashion house to create an artisanal capsule lifestyle collection comprising small leather goods and high end clothing. Named Giorgio Armani for Bugatti, this collection will definitely create waves on both the fashion and auto frontiers.
The products belonging to the collection will be notable for their use of top-quality materials and the skill involved in their creation. Aimed at the sophisticated man who has a soft spot for exclusive luxury, the Giorgio Armani for Bugatti capsule collection will consist of garments and accessories that are both stylish and exclusive.
“It was very natural to come together with Bugatti. We both worship things that are made well, made to last, created out of the best materials. The capsule condenses this encounter in a series of clothes and accessories designed to be worn by men who only look for the best and who live an active and dynamic lifestyle”, said Giorgio Armani.
“Cooperation with Giorgio Armani is a great honor for us,” said Wolfgang Dürheimer, President of Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. “When one of the most influential and highly recognised fashion and lifestyle brands and the most exclusive super sports car brand in the world, which has its roots in art and design, join forces, this is an unusual, exciting and inspiring project. The result is an extremely well-made combination of the style and perfection of Giorgio Armani and the Bugatti brand DNA.”
Accessories and garments in the capsule collection, launching for autumn/winter 2016-2017, feature details that reference the iconic motifs of the Bugatti brand. The horseshoe-shaped emblem on the front of the cars is seen on pendants for bags, while Bugatti’s brand color blue appears on inner linings of bags, in interior pockets and on the treads and insoles of footwear. The palette, focused on the three stylish and timeless colours of cognac, army green and blue, is a recurring element of the collection.
The most distinctive accessory is an elegant briefcase crafted entirely by hand from soft calfskin, with a convenient front pocket. Another version of this briefcase is lined with matte crocodile suede in Bugatti blue. A bigger, weekend bag, and smaller leather goods like belts, wallets, iPad cases and beauty cases with a prominent zip closure which are made of either calfskin or crocodile skin are other components of the accessories collection.
The clothing collection comprises superfine cashmere sweaters, a coat and blouson jacket in refined double cashmere, a leather jacket having a concealed hood and a raised collar. Treated denim jeans that look as soft as velvet as an outcome of handmade flocking add a casual element to the collection.
Calfskin sneakers with crocodile details and blue interiors, a sports driver blazer fashioned from crocodile skin which is available in cognac and army green, and a cap in double cashmere cloth with trim in Bugatti blue round off the capsule collection.
All the garments and accessories belonging to the collection will sport the special logo: Giorgio Armani for Bugatti in addition to being available in limited quantity and editions.
The capsule collection will be available at the retail level from August 2016 in a few selected Giorgio Armani boutiques and in Ettore Bugatti lifestyle boutiques across the globe.
