Ever since its arrival here in October 2015, the sixth generation BMW 7 series has been a hit here due to its combination of luxurious interiors, striking design and innovative technological features. To add to the popularity of one of its bestselling vehicles in the Middle East, BMW is now offering a third engine variant that will soon be available in retail showrooms across the region – the BMW 730Li.Together with BMW 740Li and 750Li xDrive, the model will take the BMW 7 Series to greater heights.
The new model incorporates a number of new technologies that have set new benchmarks in the luxury sedan segment. Some of the more notable features are the new intuitive BMW Display Key and the Welcome Light Carpet. The BMW Display Key allows drivers to ontrol many functions through an integrated touchscreen and shows many details pertaining to the status of the vehicle. The Welcome Light Carpet illuminates the area leading to the doors of the car to create a welcoming aura of hospitality.
A number of distinctive design attributes have been adapted to the luxurious interior and dynamic exterior of the all-new BMW 730 Li, which gives the car a stronger presence on the road and brings a new meaning to the expression “Sheer driving pleasure”. The luxury aspect is enhanced by a number of distinctive exterior design modifications to give the car a sophisticated and elegant appearance. The robust body of the car has been enriched with a new front and rear bumper, new kidney grille and indicators integrated into the lower section of the exterior mirrors.
In order to further improve the on-road performance of the model, it incorporates BMW EfficientDynamics consisting of features like a lightweight Carbon Core, to ensure that the car is 130kg lighter than the older generation.
When it comes to power, motorists have two options. The BMW 730 Li is fitted with a four-cylinder in-line engine having TwinPower Turbo technology to provide the twin benefits of low fuel consumption and dynamic performance. The car goes from 0–100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds with a maximum torque of 400 Nm. The BMW 740Li has a 6 cylinder engine with an output of 326hp, with a maximum torque of 450 Nm at 1 380 rpm. The 750Li xDrive has an 8 cylinder engine which produces 450hp, and gives the vehicle the power to go from 0-100km/h in a mere 4.4 seconds.
