The 2020 Chevrolet Camaro is slated to have several new features that will make driving a lot smoother for the motorist. One new feature that is not seen in other vehicles is the tire fill alert.
The tires are what connects a vehicle to the road and it is highly important that the tires should always be at the optimum pressure so that the driver can enjoy the benefits of the highest fuel efficiency, performance and handling. It is not easy however easy to ensure that all four tires are always at the right pressure.
General Motors is adding the new Tire Fill Alert system as a standard feature across the entire 2020 Camaro range.
The Tire Fill Alert is an alert that serves as an auditory alert that is heard outside the vehicle when a tire has been inflated to its recommended tire pressure. This audible beep makes it easy for the motorist to recognize when a tire has reached its optimum pressure without having to use a tire pressure gauge. The Tire Pressure Monitoring system in the vehicle also provides a readout of the car’s actual tire pressure within the gauge cluster.
General Motors had originally debuted the Tire Fill Alert in the all-new 2018 GMC Acadia. The feature has now become a standard one for most 2018, 2019 and 2020 model vehicles.
In the case of the 2020 Camaro which is a sporty model, the right tire pressure plays a critical role in the car’s performance. The 2020 Camaro is available with four engine options, which include the turbocharged 2.0L LTG I-4 which produces 275 hp, the atmospheric 3.6L LGX V6 which has an output of 335 horsepower, the atmospheric 6.2L LT1 V8 which delivers 455 horsepower, and the supercharged 6.2L LT4 V8 (650 horsepower). In the case of all these variants, the right tire pressure is essential for delivering the highest level of performance.
For reference, all season tires are standard across the Camaro range, while the 2020 Camaro SS, ZL1 and 1LE packages of the LT, SS and ZL1 being equipped with high-performance summer performance rubber.
