Nissan Tekton Arrives in the Middle East: A Compact SUV with Patrol-Style Looks

Nissan has launched the Tekton, a new small SUV built in India, across the Gulf. Prices start at around USD 19,500 before VAT.

Nissan announced the Tekton on 21 September 2026 and showed it in the region for the first time at Auto World Kuwait. The SUV was first revealed in India, where it is built in Chennai, and Nissan is selling it in many markets worldwide. It should reach Middle East showrooms before the end of 2026.

Design
Nissan says the Tekton takes cues from the Patrol, its full-size SUV, in a much smaller body. It has a wide stance, a bold front end, full LED headlights and an LED light bar linking them. Buyers can choose 18-inch alloy wheels and one of five two-tone colour combinations, depending on the trim.

Why it matters for UAE drivers
Cooled seats, a cooled armrest box and a cooling phone charger all help in Gulf summers. Nissan also picked the Middle East as a key launch market, so this SUV was aimed at buyers in this region. Nissan’s head for the region, Thierry Sabbagh, said it offers larger-SUV presence with turbo power and everyday practicality.
