Goodyear’s collaboration with Mercedes-Benz Truck is expanding to include telematics services. The Mercedes-Benz Truck App Portal, renowned for its digital marketplace that equips its vehicles with tailored apps to enhance comfort and operational efficiency, now welcomes the Goodyear DriverHub application as an official partner application.
Goodyear DriverHub is designed to provide drivers and fleet operators with a continuous stream of accurate tire data, optimizing their tire management practices. Tailored specifically to the needs of drivers, the app offers real-time information sourced from Goodyear’s tire management solutions, including Goodyear TPMS, Goodyear CheckPoint, and Goodyear DrivePoint.
By joining forces with the Mercedes-Benz Truck App Portal, Goodyear equips drivers with additional visibility into tire conditions. Instant alerts and notifications are triggered upon detecting deviations from predetermined tire pressure and temperature levels. Armed with precise information on the affected tire and the degree of urgency, drivers can proactively take targeted actions to reduce breakdowns as well as help support safety and performance on the road.
“Goodyear is proud to be at the forefront of developing tire inspection solutions by integrating the Goodyear DriverHub application into the Mercedes-Benz Truck App Portal,” stated Piotr Czyżyk, Managing Director Proactive Solutions and Fleets Europe at Goodyear. “This integration exemplifies our commitment to driving efficiency, competitiveness, and sustainability in the road transport industry. By seamlessly integrating our tire data insights into the Mercedes-Benz Truck app portal, we empower drivers and fleet operators to make informed decisions that support optimization of their fleets’ operations and contribute to a more sustainable future.”
One of the standouts features of the Goodyear DriverHub is its predictive technology that alerts drivers and fleet operators in case of pressure leaks with ability to detect and differentiate fast or slow leak[1]. This proactive notification allows drivers to take immediate and appropriate actions and connect with the dispatcher for further instructions. The same information can be shared in real-time with fleet operators via mobile app, helping to reduce the likelihood of tire-related incidents and enhancing overall road safety.
“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Goodyear in the development of the Goodyear DriverHub app on the Mercedes-Benz Truck App Portal. Together, we’re revolutionising the way truck drivers experience the road, combining cutting-edge technology and innovation to ensure safer, more efficient journeys for all. It showcases our dedication to revolutionising the trucking industry, one app at a time.” – Antonio Argentieri, Connectivity Product Manager, Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK
The integration of the Goodyear DriverHub mobile application into the Mercedes-Benz Truck App Portal represents a transformative step toward creating smarter, more connected fleets. Mercedes-Benz truck drivers can now harness real-time tire condition information to proactively manage tire health, boost efficiency and competitiveness, and embrace sustainability principles.
