IONITY has teamed up with the Austrian technology company, has·to·be for provision of software and services needed for its network of charging stations for electric vehicles. Has.to.be will be supplying IONITY with its product called ‘be.ENERGISED’ that has already been deployed successfully at over 12,000 charging stations across the globe. The software is not linked to any specific device type, and is thus compatible with almost all types of charging stations. This makes ‘beENERGISED” an attractive option for many large companies across the world.
IONITY is a joint venture of leading players in the automotive sector like Audi, Porsche, the BMW Group, Daimler AG, Ford and the Volkswagen Group. All these companies have teamed up to set up and run a network of efficient fast-charging stations for electric vehicles along the key highways across Europe to facilitate easy use of electric vehicles.
Commenting on the collaboration with IONITY, CEO of has-to-be, Martin Klässner said that the company’s software will ensure the stable operation of the charging stations and facilitate simple billing, irrespective of which charging card the customer wants to use. It is even possible to make contactless direct payment at the charging station. The company also has a hotline, which customers can call if something does not work.
In future, IONITY has plans to expand its partnership with has.to.be, with one possible area identified for corporation being calibration law. The common goal for both companies is to set up a charging infrastructure for the ‘Super High Chargers’ which is compliant with calibration law so that in future IONITY will be able to offer charging processes that are correctly registered under calibration law once the standard tests have been completed. Customers will have the benefit of maximum security for the billing of their refueling operations. Super-fast charging points will be available throughout Europe every 120 kilometers, charging empty batteries in just a few minutes.
