Bridgestone was named as one of the top ten brands in Australia in an independent poll that was conducted by the Australian edition of Reader’s Digest. The poll is conducted every year to find the ten most trusted brands in Australia. This is the first time that a tire brand has been named as one of the top ten brands.
Bridgestone Australia also earned the honor of being chosen as the most trusted tire brand in the country for the fifth straight year.
Commenting on the accolade, Bridgestone Australia and New Zealand Managing Director, Andrew Moffatt said that Bridgestone has earned the trust of Australian motorists, and the company would take every step needed to continually build on that trust.
Research firm Catalyst conducts the Reader’s Digest Most Trusted Brands survey and this year the poll was taken by almost 2,500 respondents who rated brands across 70 categories. The insights from the survey indicated that the key factors that built trust in the tires category were reputation, reliability and quality.
Reader’s Digest Advertising & Retail Director for the APAC region, Sheron White, Bridgestone said that Bridgestone deserved the trust it has gained from the Australian public due to its ongoing commitment to safety. White said, “Congratulations to Bridgestone. The safety of you and your family is important and so are the brands we trust to keep us safe.” She said that Reader’s Digest had realized in 2014 that safety on the roads is important and thus developed the ‘Tyre’ category for Trusted Brands. Right from its inception, Bridgestone has been the winner of this category every year and emerged as a top brand that Australians place their trust in.
Bridgestone invests over USD 800 million every year globally in research and development to deliver superior car, SUV, 4×4 and commercial vehicle tires.
