The Superdoll OTR plant has received ISO 9001-2015 certification, thus becoming the only factory in Africa to get ISO certification for retreading and repairing OTR tyres ranging in size from 25 to 63 inches in diameter.
The Superdoll OTR tyre retreading and repair plant, which is located in Ndola in Zambia, a copper producing region, appears to be the largest facility in the world for retreading of OTR tyres. The factory received the Certificate in Quality Management System based on ISO 9001-2015 standards after a stringent certification audit process that was conducted by the Zambian Bureau of Standards (ZABS) from 4 to 5 April 2017. The ZABS Certification Decision Committee, met and approved the award of Certificate of Quality Management System. Vick Nachshon, the Superdoll Zambia C.E.O confirmed that the Zambian Bureau of Standards awarded Superdoll Zambia Organization with the certificate of conformity based on ISO 9001-2015 Standard after the audit. The Superdoll factory became operational after three years of construction which was supported by the Zambian Government, through the Zambian Development Agency (ZDA). The factory will cater to the entire mining industry in Zambia and according to CEO Nachson is equipped with the latest world technology, state of the art machines, non-destructive Shearography method, and personnel having decades of experience. The Superdoll OTR plant has also been certified by the Mine Safety Department (MSD) in Zambia.The factory commenced production in November last year.
