ACDelco used the ACMA Automechanika Show in New Delhi to launch a new range of cabin air filters as part of its ‘Cabin Air Filter’ product program. The company, which is a GM subsidiary and is the supplier of OE parts for Chevrolet and other GM brands is one of the leading player sin the automotive aftermarket and recently celebrated its centenary.
The new range of cabin air filters are made of high-quality multiple fiber layer media and have the capability to trap up to 95 percent dirt, dust, pollen and other pollutants. The filters are meant to facilitate better airflow and boost the defrosting performance of the AC systems.
Speaking about the new range, Markus Sternberg, vice- president, Aftersales & Customer Experience, Chevrolet India said that the company is constantly engaged in the development of new, world-class products for our customers and carve its own niche in the ‘all makes all models’ after-market business. ACDelco is planning to expand its footprint in India through new programs and the addition of more direct distributors, retailers and distribution centers to its network.
ACDelco’s range of premium aftermarket replacement cabin air filters have been to made to cater to expectations for fit, form and function. They have multiple layers to improve the breathing environment within the vehicle, and thus providing motorists with cleaner and fresher air.
In the long run, the company is planning to expand further in the filtration space and has plans to roll out six new product programs over the next few months.
Rajesh Nangia, director, ACDelco India said, “Keeping in mind the degrading cabin air quality which accounts for harmful air pollution, the new ‘Cabin Air Filter’ will meet the rising demand of the product in the passenger car segment. The filters are built to suit most of the new generation vehicles today,” said.
ACDelco entered the Indian market in 1997 as a part of the General Motors India and today supplies a diverse range of over 1000+ parts in several categories including batteries, lubricants, drive-shafts, oil, fuel and air filters, brake pads and wipers from the nine distribution centers it has across the country.
