Axalta Takes Its Color Technology to New Heights

Paint chips are smal color samples, each different, some with refined variations that are commonly unnoticed until held side-by-side. Normally, to the untrained eye, it is quite hard to believe that a car painted red, silver or even the most basic white or black can have numerous variations. Fan decks, a conventional color tool made up of a series of related paint chips, emphasize these slight differences by creating a range of colors in just a single tool.

Knowing the significance of this long-established resource, Axalta Coating Systems, a key manufacturer of powder and liquid coatings, worked to produce what it claims as one of the most state-of-the-art fan deck systems on the market. With the debut of new fan deck systems for its Standox® Standocryl® Basecoat and Spies Hecker® Permacron® 293/295 Series paint systems, Axalta raised the standard for the industry’s quality standard.
