Cooper Tire is using the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas which is being held from November 3 through 6 for showcasing key products from the company’s range including the new Discoverer STT Pro and Discoverer SRX, the innovative CS5 Touring tire, and the new CS1 passenger tire that is being sold exclusively in Mexico and Latin America.
Speaking about Cooper’s participation in SEMA, Jessica Egerton, Cooper’s Director of Brand Development said tha the company is offering a wide range of tires as no one tire is suitable for meeting the needs of every driver. Every driver has different needs and expectations and with its wide range of tires, Cooper has tires that are suitable for all kinds of road conditions, weather and vehicle types. While the new Discoverer SRX is meant for SUVs ad CUVs and the Discoverer STT Pro is an off-road tire, the ever popular CS5 touring tire is for really long journeys. All the tires have been prominently displayed at the Cooper booth at the SEMA Show.

Discoverer STT Pro
The new Discoverer STT Pro off-road tire is particularly relevant for the Middle East region as it has been specifically developed for off-road trips. With its Armor-Tek3 construction for strengthening the sidewall
and tread area, the STT Pro gets extra points for its reliability and durability. The mud release dimples and scoops prevent build-up and increase traction even in highly muddy terrain. The tire was thoroughly tested during the 2015 edition of The Off-Road Championship (TORC) series, propelling TORC PRO Light driver Doug Mittag to the championship and driver Luke Johnson to a second place finish on the podium. For the SEMA show, the Discoverer STT Pro tires have been fitted on on Mittag’s championship truck for display in the Cooper booth
Discoverer SRX
Though consumers are increasingly conscious about the need for fuel economy, the SUV and CRV segments have become increasingly popular with 67 per cent of households in the United States having one or the other. The Discoverer SRX tire which is meant for these segments has now acquired many more sizes to cater better to these customers. It is perfect for use in all seasons due to the high levels of grip, traction, comfort, performance and tread life that it provides. It is also sold with a 45-day road test gurantee and a 65,000-mile treadwear protection warranty that is highly attractive to customers.
CS5 Touring
The CS5 Touring tire is made with an enhanced tread compound for delivering superior all-season performance for owners of sedans and SUVs. Other notable features of this tire are its asymmetric tread design, patented Stabiledge™ technology and specially developed 3D Micro-Gauge sipes for delivering excellent handling, quick response to steering, shorter stopping distances, lower rolling resistance and superior wet handling. In an independent tire test for comparison of wet braking distances, the CS5 Ultra Touring tire stopped more than 15 feet shorter than the closest competitor. Another notable feature is the Wear Square visual tread wear indicator that makes it easier for drivers to assess the amount of wear on the tread of their tires. The Wear Square changes from a full square when the tires are new to an exclamation point when the tread reaches 2/32s of an inch, informing drivers that it is time to replace the tire.
